Who we buy from

03

Contractors, distributors, plants and institutions

Surplus wire is not one industry's problem. It is what is left when a project closes, a spec changes, or a storeroom gets cleared.

Large cable reels loaded on a flatbed trailer ready for freight pickup

Reels loaded and strapped for freight — we coordinate pickup once an offer is accepted.

  • Electrical contractors — partial reels at job close-out
  • Distributors and wholesalers — discontinued colors, slow sizes
  • Manufacturers and fabricators — maintenance spares, line changes
  • Utilities and power providers — service and distribution cable
  • Data centres and telecom — tray, control and building wire
  • Hospitals and universities — fit-out overstock in sealed cartons
  • Industrial facilities — obsolete specs and dead stock
  • Construction and demolition contractors — material pulled before demo

More on who we buy from

How it works

04

Three steps, no obligation

Nothing moves until you accept an offer. Asking costs nothing and takes about five minutes on a phone.

  1. Send the details and photos

Wire type, gauge, footage, condition and where it sits. Photos of the reels, jacket print and tags do most of the work.

  2. We review and quote

We check construction, condition and quantity, then reply with a quote or a clear no. If we need another photo, we ask once.

  3. We coordinate the next step

If you accept, we arrange pickup or freight, agree access and settle on collection. You keep control of the material until then.

From the Missouri River to the Mississippi. Pickup and freight are planned per load, so distance is a logistics question, not a deal-breaker.

Questions

06

Frequently asked questions

Short answers to the questions that come up before a first quote.

What kind of electrical wire do you buy in Iowa?

Copper and aluminum building wire, industrial cable, service and underground cable, bare copper and grounding wire, specialty and flexible cable, and medium voltage cable from 5 kV to 69 kV and above. We buy full reels, partial reels, spools, coils, cartons and unused cut lengths.

Do you buy partial reels and small quantities?

Yes. Partial reels are the most common thing we buy. A legible footage tag helps, but we can work from a measured coil, a scale reading or a photo of the reel.

How do you price surplus wire?

Usable wire is priced as wire — by construction, gauge, footage and condition. Material that cannot be reused is priced as scrap by weight. We tell you which basis a quote uses, so the number is never a surprise.

Do you buy every item regardless of condition?

No, and we will not pretend otherwise. We review what you send and quote what is usable. If part of a lot is beyond reuse, we will say so and explain why it was excluded.

Do you have an office or warehouse in Iowa?

No walk-in office or yard. We buy from businesses statewide and arrange pickup or freight per load once a quote is accepted, so there is nothing to visit in person.

How quickly will I hear back?

Most quote requests get a reply within one business day. Loads with clear photos, reel tags and a city or ZIP move fastest, because there is less to clarify.

Tell us what you have

No obligation and no cost to ask. If the material is not a fit, we will say so plainly.

Request a quote for your surplus wire

Tell us what the wire is, how much there is and where it sits. Photos of the reels, jacket print and wire ends let us give a real number instead of a guess.

1 · Your contact details
2 · Where the wire is located
3 · The wire and cable
4 · Quantity and condition
5 · Details, access and photos

Select several photos at once if your phone allows it. Overview of the reels and spools first.

Jacket legend, reel tag, conductor ends and any damage. JPEG or PNG, up to 10 MB in total across both fields.
